I was amazed to find that some animals like the Hippy Monkey mentioned above follow a lot of human traits, and in a way dis-appoint the laws of nature by killing for little reason. What are your thoughts on this ?

Hmmmm I think you fellas are out of ideas for this sight. I can't think of too many people who would be interested in the behavior of an obscure primate that most have never heard of.
ReplyDeleteI might like to here stories of people who have done some really kind things. Like rescuing an animal, or putting some little African kid through school, or how they lost their job and found a new way/invention that made their lives even better - uplifting stories that gave us hope, and showed a better side of ourselves.
ReplyDeleteoops! HEAR, not here. dang!
ReplyDeleteI'll start . . . I am not rich. I live on Social Security. bit recently went to Ghana West Africa to visit some 'shirt-tail relatives'. While there I met a young lady, Sarah Ghamond. Sarah is brilliant - has never had anything but an E or an E+ in school, and got 1564 out of a possible 1600 on her SAT's. It took all of her relatives to pool their money to send her through grade and highschool at $40 every three months - their total income might reach $40 a month - so it was wonderful that they did that for her - but still, Sarah cannot make much more than they do, with just a high school education. I got to thinking about how valuable her life was - as compared to mine, and decided I could send her to college - she has the money now to complete her first year and the books, and a new HP laptop and Quickbooks and a typing program, and a ten-key and a 500 gb storage unit to save her important stuff - now I am not telling you cause I am bragging - cause I feel it was a privilege to do this for Sarah - cause she will be sending her younger brother and sister to college and helping her parents out of the dirt-floor huval (sp?) they live in with their six kids. So, who can you help? What percentage of what YOU have do you use to help people (or animals) other than your family? Something to think about - nothing makes you feel better.
